New Opening: Proper Pizza

Serving slices of happiness on O’Connell street, the fit out is hip and modern featuring neon hues. The first of many, Proper Pizza has been brought to our shores by Stuart Deeks all the way from Albania. Soon to win over pizza hearts everywhere, just a slice will have you wondering what you’ve done without all these years.

“All our pizza dough is house-made from the freshest ingredients,” says general manager Lexi Jones. “You won’t feel like you’ve done something wrong after eating one of our pizzas”.

What makes their pizzas the real deal is the unique crust. Light, crunchy and sprinkled with sesame seeds, they’re a harmonious balance between doughy and crispy. With breakfast options and pizzas up to sixty centimetres wide, there’s enough for the whole gang to get a slice of the action.
Our top pick is the indulgent black truffle. Crammed fresh mushroom, scamorza cheese, pecorino, Parmigiano Reggiano, pine nuts, and their special white wine sauce, before you know it half a pizza will have disappeared (guilty).

Better yet, there’s no need for our plant-based pals to miss out. With vegan bases on offer, opt for the garden love. A rainbow on pizza, this gem is topped with marinade sauce, cherry tomatoes, green peppers, fresh mushrooms, sweetcorn and spinach. YUM!

End things on a sweet note with the drool-worthy dessert pizzas. Basically what dreams are made of, this treasure features apple crumble filling, fresh apples, and cinnamon on a sesame seed crust topped with a big ol’ scoop of vanilla ice cream.
